BERLIN: Senior Representatives of D&B South Asia Middle East recently participated in the 7th World Consumer Credit Reporting Conference 2010 (WCCRC), hosted by the Association of Consumer Credit Information Suppliers (ACCIS), the Consumer Data Industry Association (CDIA) and SCHUFA Holding AG from the 26th September to 28th September 2010 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Berlin.
This 7th World Consumer Credit Reporting reported an attendance of over 226 delegates from 58 countries, the largest ever gathering for any Credit Bureau worldwide conference.
Prominent themes at the conference were responsible lending, consumer education, transparency of the consumer credit reporting industry, services and standards. Avoiding over-indebtedness was seen to be an important element in credit reporting. A broad range of different aspects in the credit bureau business, its consequences for the finance market as well as interactions with consumers was extensively discussed in order to identify a common solution and global strategy.
