The Government of Maldives, with the support and assistance of the Asian Development Bank, initiated a program for the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) by way of enhancing access to finance, provision of business development services on a cost sharing basis and building the capacity to enable successful public-private partnership (PPP) projects. The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) is the agency responsible for the implementation of the Credit Information Bureau (CIB). Through a tender process involving key solution providers of Credit Bureau implementation services, Dun & Bradstreet has been awarded the contract to implement the CIB for the Maldives Monetary Authority.
The contact was awarded on the 22 October 2009 with consultancy services to commence a month later. The project will have a duration of 12 months wherein Dun & Bradstreet will be responsible for the supply, installation and implementation of the software and equipment necessary for the implementation of the Credit information Bureau. Dun & Bradstreet will also provide consultancy support, technical support, training, maintenance and support.
