The publication profiles the top performing companies form across all sectors of the Bangladesh economy. The D&B Top 500 Companies publications are seen as a benchmark ranking of companies on the basis of various criteria including net profit, net worth, market capitalisation and others.

The Top 500 Companies publication includes companies listed on the Dhaka & Chittagong Stock Exchanges, non-listed companies / public-owned autonomous bodies, conglomerates, and business groups from the private and public sector. The list has been divided into three broad categories – Listed Companies, Non-Listed Companies and Banks.
